This shea butter feels so pure and intentional. The texture is rich and solid at first, but it melts instantly in your hands and deeply moisturizes without feeling greasy. This shea butter was probably the thickest and richest shea butter I've ever tried! It was packaged well and I enjoyed the card providing details on where it was made. It went on smoothly and stayed on through multiple hand washes. I do have to admit I didn't particularly like the smell of it, it was a bit spicy for my taste. But overall it's a great choice for someone looking for high quality shea butter!

Campaign Overview

Ayebea's Sankofa Marketplace sells handmade, fair-trade goods sourced directly from artisan cooperatives in Ghana. Like many up-and-coming brands, Ayebea's Sankofa Marketplace found that getting in front of new shoppers was a persistent challenge. The challenge

Ayebea's Sankofa Marketplace is a small operation run by Nana, her husband, and her daughter. The marketplace connects artisans in Ghana directly to consumers, with the goal of reducing middlemen and building relationships between artisans and shoppers.
